It's been 84 years... but finally, at long last, the demo release now has a date: September 12! 

And, barring catastrophe, the Kickstarter will run about a month later. The link to get notified for the Kickstarter launch will be available when the demo drops. I'll be posting about the Kickstarter over on  Twitter and Tumblr leading up to it.
